 "Today, if we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other–that man, that woman, that child is my brother or my sister. If everyone could see the image of God in his neighbor, do you think we would still need tanks and generals?"

-Mother Teresa

     In some societies, women are still discriminated on their gender. They are not given the same right as men. Women are still paid less, expected to cook, clean etc. and are still strict by their culture and family. Empowering women is to give women the right. Women can have equal right to participate in education, society, economy and politically. Women can involve in society as they are glad to choose their religious, language, work and other activities. Women can join politically as they have right to vote and do some activities in politics. It is a part to encourage women to feel strong by telling them that they can do everything that they want to do. Women can work outside their home, have opportunity to make up their mind. Women do not depend on men.

     Women Empowerment can help us change the world's perspective. A woman is a mother, she is strong, brave, patient, caring and loving. She can do more than she thinks.

     Here are some Empowered Women i know during the Covid-19 pandemic;

My Lola

She is Luzvismin, my caring grandma. Ever since my mom left us, she is always there to help my father take care of us. She helps provide our needs and necessities and sometimes, even our wants. She never made us feel unloved. She never cried infront of us. She is the strongest and most loving woman I've ever known and i love her very much.

My Tita

She is Lucelle, my strict but sweet tita. She helps my grandma take care of us whenever my father isn't home. She bakes super yummy cakes. She loves us, supports us and gives us advices. She is the person that understands me the most, after my father and grandma hehe. She is a single parent. She is strong, caring and an Empowered woman.

Bombo Evelyn Pascua

She is a news anchor. I always hear her deliver news whenever my late Lolo listen on his radio. She is brave, strong and confident. She isn't afraid of the bad guys. She is an Empowered woman.
