December 25 is not just an ordinary day to Catholics and other religions that celebrates Christmas. It is a holiday where in we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. A holiday where in we normally celebrate with a huge number of guest or going out of the country. A holiday of peace, happiness, love and warmth from our family, friends and/or loved ones.
This year, 2021, we can see/experience the impact of the Corona Virus or Covid-19 pandemic on to our normal ways of celebrating holidays. From lavish/grand feast to simple dinner with our family while implementing the health protocols, it reminds us of the simplicity of when Jesus was born. He was born in a manger with only his mother Mary and father Joseph. His guests were a shepherd, a few animals and the three magi that gave gold, frankincense, and myrrh as their gift: gold representing his kingship, frankincense a symbol of his priestly role, and myrrh a prefiguring of his death and embalming. It let's us reminisce the true essence of Christmas, which is not about how bright and colorful or Christmas lights are, how tall and beautiful our Christmas tree is or how expensive our gifs are. Christmas is about sharing, giving, appreciating, accepting, forgiving, chances and love Sharing what we have, Giving and making our family the love they made us feel, appreciating their existence, accepting their flaws and imperfections, forgiving them on the things they did on purpose or not, giving them more than a million of chances and loving them genuinely and unconditionally.
Nothing changed, if there is, it would be how grand people would celebrate Christmas. Pandemic or not, Celebrating Christmas is always about love and warmth coming from our families and/or loved ones. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hello! I enjoyed your post about the Christmas admits outbreak. Even though we are in the midst of a pandemic, we should still celebrate Christmas. Because Christmas commemorates the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Just keep on with what you've started. Happy greetings!
