Fair Educa-fo-dy (Education For Everybody)

"New Normal Na Walang Iwanan:

Karapatan Ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!"

When this school-year started, Distance Learning was implemented. Many students had gone through hard time adjusting on the new normal way of learning. Many of us complained how hard it was. Most of us nearly gave up, though some of us quitted school and dropped out because of financial problems. Many street children didn't have the chance to enroll because of lack of gadgets and poverty. Covid-19 indeed affected the right to learn of more than 27 million Filipino students here in our country (according to unicef).

THE 1987 CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES - ARTICLE XIV under EDUCATION,

Section 1 states that "The State shall protect and promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels, and shall take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to all." Every children has the right to have a Fair, Accessible and Quality Education. Street Children, Children  with special needs and/or disability/ies has the right to be educated, to learn and explore new things and to enter a school without being discriminated. School is for learning, not bullying and degrading a human who breathes the  same air you breathe and stands on the same ground as yours.

Sometimes, wealthy children are more favored than the children who are not. Disabled Students are also more likely to drop out because of the discrimination other students might make them feel. Let us open our eyes to see that not only few students are struggling but maybe the whole group of students in the country is. Let us all cooperate, with each other and with the government to help  every student posses or experience a quality education which is the same as the others.

According to Al Sharpton, "There's no reason why children in inner cities or rural areas do not receive the same quality education or opportunities as those in suburbs or wealthy neighborhoods. If we truly believe in giving all citizens a chance to pursue happiness and pursue their goals, then we cannot continue to marginalize entire groups of people." Education is for all, whether you are  wealthy or not, and whether you are a normal person or a person with disability. Poverty, Illness or Disease won't stop us pursue and achieve our goals in life. Always believe that you can overcome any problems, you're strong and God is always with you. Godbless and thank you for reading!
